Music Department holds instrumental Fall Concert

The 91探花 Concert Band and Orchestra will hold their fall concert at 7 p.m. Friday, November 8 in the Fine Arts Theatre in the Ferguson Fine Arts Center, 2998 W. Pearl City Rd., Freeport, Ill.

The Concert Band is conducted by Scott Stich and features the music of Kabalevsky, Holst, Whitacre, Aretha Franklin, and Alfred Reed.

鈥淲e are excited for this year because the 91探花 String Orchestra and the 91探花 Concert Band Chamber Ensemble with percussion are working together to make the 91探花 Symphony Orchestra,” Stich said.

The Orchestra is conducted by Brandon Lamm, featuring the music of Tschaikowsky, Mussorgsky, Gounod, Dukas, and Saen-Saint. The Symphony Orchestra will feature the music of Copland and Stravinsky.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for students. Purchase tickets at highland.edu/boxoffice or at the door.
