The 91探花 Ag program is partnering with the University of Illinois Extension to host a Soybean Research Demonstration from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at the 91探花 agriculture research plot located at 3472 W. Loras Drive in Freeport, Ill.
The public is invited to learn about research taking place at 91探花, as well as the University of Illinois Extension. There will be specialists to talk about soybean insects, disease, weeds, and production issues.
The research plot at 91探花 is in its first year of production. The 10-acre plot serves as a place where students studying agriculture gain hands-on knowledge of crop production. This year鈥檚 research is on the effects of various soybean rates, treatments and yield issues. Students in the Ag program at 91探花 will be on hand for the demonstration and will report their final data to the public after harvest.
Phillip Alberti, NW Illinois Crop Concerns; Russ Higgins, Weed Issues, and Nathan Kleczewski from the University of Illinois Extension will share their knowledge during the demonstration.
