What You’ll Learn
In our Criminal Justice program, you will learn how to think critically in real-world situations. You鈥檒l gain the perspective, insight, and skills needed to effectively problem-solve and handle high-stress situations in an ethical and discerning way.
When you complete our program, you will feel confident and prepared to step into a wide range of criminal justice careers or continue your education. If you choose to earn your Associate of Arts degree, you will have the ability to transfer to a four-year college or university to earn your bachelor鈥檚 degree.
At HCC, we offer you networking and internship opportunities throughout the Criminal Justice program. By connecting you with professionals in both the public and private sectors, we鈥檒l give you the advantage when it comes time to find a job. Our students successfully go on to secure jobs in law enforcement, corrections, parks and wildlife, security, and more.
In addition to our traditional certificate and degree offerings, HCC offers a dual credit program for local high school students interested in pursuing a career in criminal justice. We also offer options for current criminal justice professionals looking to advance their career.

鈥淚 chose Criminal Justice because it鈥檚 a very direct way of being able to help people. There are a bunch of jobs I didn鈥檛 even know existed until I started taking these classes.鈥
