Environmental Scan

91̽»¨ contracted with the Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University in 2021 to conduct an environmental scan of the College’s four-county district in order to help shape our strategic planning. Utilizing a wide range of data sources, this environmental scan presents the latest demographic, workforce, and educational trends in the region which covers the northwest Illinois counties of Stephenson, Ogle, Jo Daviess, and Carroll.

Data sources used for the scan not only include public agencies such as the Illinois Department of Employment Security, Illinois State Board of Education, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Census Bureau, National Center for Education Statistics, and Illinois Department of Revenue, but also subscription-based resources from private, for-profit companies such as Alteryx, EASI Analytics, and Esri.
